Srilanka facility is Gravita’s first overseas venture. This plant was acquired during 2000. This plant is situated in Mirigam named Navam Lanka, Its around 40 Kms from Colombo airport. Since the time of acquiring, Gravita’s technical team and expertise upgraded the entire manufacturing set up.
The plant has Battery dismantling capacity followed by smelting and refining operations. Navam Lanka is producing refined lead largely and a very small portion of lead alloys. The products has approval from South East Asian, European and US customer.

 
Our plant is also equipped to produce polypropylene washed chips also. We supply these chips for further processing to plastic industry.

The present recycling capacity of this unit is close to 10000 Mt per year and has ISO 9000, ISO 14000 certification
